Cru can you please explain just how rare this coin is? Thanks in advance, Abe

It's pretty hard to be sure, but our 2 books on Roman coins describe it as Rare. Which means in simple terms that at the point of print there were 26-50 examples known. Hope this helps? Bearing in mind I only found 1 example on the net.

Thank you. Yes that's very helpful. It's always nice to be able to put things in perspective. Most people will never find something that scarce in their entire lives. So it's very cool that you guys have come up with a couple of very scarce coins in just the last few months. Tell dad congrats. That's impressive!

He keeps up with the posts, so will read your good words.

I seriously don't know what it is, but we laugh at how lucky we have been. Although we try & eliminate luck/chance as much as possible, we still surprise ourselves at how well we do. Maybe God is looking down on us.

I'm a huge believer in karma my friend . I believe that good things happen to good people that deserve such things. So between the tenacity at swinging the coil and being good people you boys are just getting what you deserve. That's my view on the world anyway. :-) I know it sounds simple but I think that's the way things should work and hope I'm right

The Cru seems to have found a decent balance between time in trade , technology/equipment , desire and knowledge , all of which
contributes to results (finds) that most of us can only dream of . I so appreciate the education you guys offer us - glimpses of
history and cultures that we obviously can't get over here .

Cru, your spectacular finds just keep on coming, that is a pretty one, not too shabby for age either!! :)
Don

That's Awesome!

Thanks everyone, just catching up on the comments before we get out on this field again. Who knows what else might be waiting......post later....

Congratulations to you and your Dad. You guys are always out finding and saving some old history. Hope your hunt today was as successful. I know your Dad was happy to find that rare silver.
