Roman Siliqua Silver cut half & medieval finds
This is my first post for quite awhile even though I have been out detecting the finds have been few and far between, so on sunday I gave my search lands a rest and went out on an organized dig. I don't usually bother going on these digs as they can get quite repetitive going back to the same place time and again but I new the area they were going was a good bet having lots of Roman and Anglo Saxon. First decent find was a George1V 1820-30 penny the first coin I have ever had of this king in quite decent condition, the Silver cut half penny popped out next I think it is a Henry111 1216-72 ). By the way the weather was abysmal sleet rain cold wind you name it we got it, on the afternoon I winkled out a couple of nice Medieval finds a 14 century buckle still with pin and a nice Medieval casket key,OH almost forgot the prize of the day Roman Siliqua of Julian11 ad 355-360 I think the reverse says votis v mvltis in laural wreath no idea what that might meen but I am quite sure Crusader does, enough talk here's the pictures
