Just sharing a cool photo of my Grandpa fishing the North fork of the Salmon River 100 miles from Mackay Idaho 1922 July 24th. My Grandpa was 6.4 omg those are big Salmon lol, also dose any one know what kind of Car that is ? and dose it have Wood spoke rims ?

Very nice fish. Makes me want to fire up the smoker.

Cool old photo, rims look wood spoked to me and it’s probably a Ford

Looking closer at the image, it looks to me like those are near post-spawn salmon.
They've had a rough, long trip upriver and are near death, but they are indeed
some big King Salmon. I'd guess they averaged about 35-40 lb. each.
 
Some were lower 30's, but there's a couple there that might have made 40. Unfortunately,
salmon at that phase are not much for table fare..all their protein has gone into their
reproduction cycle. Brine 'em and smoke 'em up good...

Yep he loved his Limburger Cheese and Smoked Salmon lol.
