Outstanding strapend Cru, best I've seen, the sceat is cool too. Nuggy

Your Saxon finds ARE in Superb Condition :occasion14:

Big Congrats on those Prizes !!

wow man you got some killer finds again, i would love to see pics of all your button finds together as i think you may have enough to recreate some vintage style clothing,, keep at it happy huntinn

Killer finds as alway's Cru. Can you tell me what the piece in the 4th picture (center) with the SS stamped in it is?

Its a Lead Bag/Bale Seal.

I've found two Sceats over the years. Huge thrill both times. I'm with you - I'd rather have a Sceat than 100 medieval hammered. That strap end is beautiful too.

Took me about 20 years to get my first, now I have several. 2 this year from this one field. Many never find any.

you never cease to amaze me!

UPDATED ID:

I thought it was a series F but a little later than expected:

Series F, Metcalf variety d. Series F is an early sceat coinage, c.695-705, with designs copied from Merovingian coins of Auxerre, but probably made in the East Midlands or Lincolnshire. No King or Chieftain is known, so an anonymous issue.

An amazing amount of finds, and as usual a couple "special" ones.

I would say cooking with gas.

Awesome little Sceat. What a save. Man, I love your posts... :occasion14:

Fantastic! Your posts are what will carry me through the summer. Congratulations on the great finds, and I'm sure there's more to come!

Cheers,

Buck

I think it was on my list for about 20 years. Then the last few years with the help of good site selection, the XP (although the Cortes got a few), & some clearing of sites of nearly every signal worked for us.

How killer is that!
