Scraps and a Heart Stopper!

[romeo-1]

Just a couple hours this morning at my favourite site but tried a new area...thought I had a belt plate but not to be...not sure what it is exactly. Fun morning!

Belt Plate...Nope!

The rest...

[Iron Patch]

No clue on that one!

You should have seen it when it was muddy and fresh out of the ground...

[swimmer]

Looks like a pipe cover. The single node swivels to slide the cover open. No idea what it covered though.

There's an idea for a new sub forum... "What it's not" .... the ones that fool you thinking you have a winner, but don't. I had a couple last time out... a broken tombac that had be thinking half real cob, and the buckle which at first glance had me thinking nice early silver Colonial buckle, but was not too old, and just plated thin brass.

Well before you knew it wasn't a belt plate, it was!
Nice collection of interesting finds!

[Auriemma]

Sprinkler cover?

[pepperj]

Sprinkler cover?

Ah I think the only sprinkler from Romeo's detecting area would of been a colonist taking a leak.

Is it completely flat?

Probably just my 'poor vision', but why does the 'flat/round' item towards the end of your ring finger look like a Spanish Reale to me? What is it, if I may ask? Oh, and I have no idea about the 'what's it' item. Pipe cover reply, may be right

[Auriemma]

Sorry... I don't know where Romeo hails from, and it looks like a sprinkler cover I found previously.

[The Patriot]

Well you certainly had a chance walking around those old fields down there and looking at some of the finds that you got…maybe next time out..

[ArDirtSlinger]

Luvin the Pocket Watch!!!!

[ANTIQUARIAN]

Very cool pocket watch find romeo!
I haven't found a musket ball or a bullet this year and you found 4 today!

Anything with attachments like that gets me going for a few! I did the same thing yesterday a few times thinking I had a silver only for it to be modern stuff!

No, just a scrap piece of lead...

That watch is a really ice find.
