Coinman,
That's a nice coin. I would say it is close to AU 50, but not quite. It's hard to put a price on it due to the carbon spots. But it's worth to you is how much you wanted it and whatever you paid for it.

It looks to me that is not quite AU but closer to XF45 due to some wear on the Eagles inner wing and the front Liberty banner.

Nice looking coin, anyway !!! :)

I agree, closer to XF than AU...

if your satisfied with what you paid, then it was a good deal!

Took it down to the local coin shop, he said it was corrosion on the back not carbon spots. He said if i wanted to sell it he wouldnt be interested. I told him if i told him what i paid for the coin would he give me an honest opinion. He said yes. So i said i paid $56 on EBAY which i did, and he said i it wasnt a good deal, i got took. He said he wouldnt even give $40 for it. Whats everybody think should i keep it or get rid of it? Please reply. Thanks

I'd say it is worth that much at the least. Except for a few spots, it is quite an attractive coin. Why not keep it?

If the dealer gives you 40, he will sell it for 75 to 80 dollars, so it sound like you did OK! Definitely keep it, it will probably go up in value.
