Seated Quarter!

JW15 · May 12, 2011

Hey all, got out today and hit 2 sites with only a frock button to show for it until my buddy suggested we hit my old (hunted out ::)

) cellar hole spot. About 20 feet from the cellar hole at the base of a tree I got a mixed signal of iron and something else. I flipped the plug, got the iron out and I thought the other signal was too good to be true but not this time! So anyways, I managed to score my first Seated Liberty Quarter! Sorry again for the lousy pics but it appears to be in VF20+ condition (full scroll and liberty on the shield). It's an 1855 w/arrows, thanks for looking...Now knock it off and get out there already!!!

BTW, I freely admit to doing a happy dance when I saw the eagle on the back. Don't judge, you know you've done it too! :tongue3:

Nice find man. I called around 2:30 when I got the car to come up but I don't think you guys had service.

Thanks man, sorry we missed you. We were in a lousy area for reception, I didn't even get a missed call.

No problem. I got the ivy anyways, I just needed to get out. Talked to Evan. We were talking about Monday. Again, beauty of find. Can't wait to knock that one off my list.
