Second fresh water hunt at the lake with Indian Steve

Steve & I went to the lake for a 2 hour hunt this evening. He always kicks my butt! Heck of a difference in technique between the two of us. Me, I'm pretty methodical = slow, and Steve covers territory. I know he more than doubled me in coin finds. I scooped 25 coins for $1.68 and I think he nabbed about $4.00 or so.

The highlight for me was my first jewelry, one being a pendant which doesn't really merit a picture. And the other was a downright pretty arrowhead pendant marked Sterling and weighs 5.31g.

So, my first water hunting jewelry!

I guess the place is pounded every year, and it's only been open for about two weeks now.

When I found it I took a turn to "Duh"! Geez, that pendant didn't just fall off a chain! I didn't think to look for the broken chain! I shall return!

I agree, I love it to death! Went in the water again yesterday and found my first ring. Alas, only copper and likely homemade. But it was exciting for a little bit
