Self Moving Rocks Mystery Solved!

For a long time I've always wondered about rocks that seem to move around deserts seemingly by their own magical power, leaving tracks in their wake. now I read something that finally shined a light on the phenomenon.

I have my doubts about there conclusions. I have observed those rocks for hours.
Death Valley is the lowest and hottest spot in the US. The ground is absolutely parched.
The area of the rocks is flat.
My theory would involve either movement caused by earth vibration such as mini quakes
or iron content in the rocks moved by the earths magnetic field.

If water froze under the rocks wouldn't they freeze in place. and they would not leave a trail.
Just my thoughts, Frank...- Hay, these haven't moved!

Nat. Geo. had a show on telly last night; "movements" caused by FREEZING nights, FROZEN snow/lake, etc. NO ONE has ever seen rocks move... dunno.
