Shelter found!!!

Was hiking in a secluded spot a few weeks back and found this. It is across a pretty wide stream and the water is to deep and fast to cross. Access from the other side would take hours. It looks like the opening is about 25 feet wide and about 4 feet high. Can't wait.

Can you pole vault across?! From your description and being reasonably close to a water supply, you should have a winner. Let's hope that the ones before you didn't have the courage to cross or the get up and go to make the multi hour trip to get at it from the backside.

Is the stream just in a run off or flood stage currently? Hopefully you can get across soon.

It is in flood stage right now but will require crossing down stream and hiking back up the other side. Should be a blast. Just waiting for water to clear.
