Shoe buckle kind of day

2 hours hiking and 3 hours of detecting. I don't get to this place too much but when I do it usually produces some nice finds. Today's haul was a few shoe buckle frames and a nice little knee buckle. One of the broken shoe buckle frames is marked HM. I wish it was all together. 1804 half cent and a toasted KGll. A few buttons and a mystery piece. Also grabbed a few beat up pewter spoons. Anyone know what the mystery brass piece with the loops and spike is? If anything cleans up better ill repost photos. Happy hunting.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This has been a great area for detecting and has produced some of my best finds. Although its strenuous to get to and I burn myself out on the hike its worth it almost every time. Hope to have more to show in a few days. Happy hunting

Ya it's too bad a out these two. I have a few others that are in nice condition but not many. Thanks for the comments

Sometimes those fields are just as tough as these hikes. Sometimes I cover more ground trying to find a hotspot in a field than hiking a few miles to a site. At least it feels that way sometimes. If your ever in the area and want to hike give me a shout. ID be more than happy to show you some sites.

I can't even count how many days we've both drove and walked 2 hours looking for a site. In some cases 3 hours, and I bet there's even be some 4 hour ones.

One day we'll definitely drive down the coast and hunt all your guy's sites!
