I was about to get out for about an hour and a half tonight, and returned to the Castle House which I've pounded really hard. I've been going slow and steady, focusing on questionable and missed targets. I got a nice high tone right be the front steps. I think I missed it last time because there's another high tone right next to it, but it's under the cement and I can't get to it. This time I worked really hard on the hole and this shiny round guy popped out! The date is completely smooth, so I can only assume it's a 1916.

Any SLQ is a wonderful find in my book! Nice!

If the signal under the cement is high enough. You're welcome to any of the tools in my equipment list. ;)

HH!

I may need that jack hammer!

Congratulations Grant. I've found a seated quarter but still looking for a standing and a Barber.

I bet that's your first of many more :), hopefully get one with a date next time :icon_thumright:. HH

Nice SlQ! You managed to pull that one out of a tough spot near those stairs. WTG!

Found my first one a month ago congrats big time!!!!

Rick Savage would blow the sidewalk up with 3 sticks of dynamite! Nice find! I have never found one.

Congratulations on your first SLQ Grant. I have only dug a handfull of them in my 28 years of detecting. In fact, I have dug 10 times as many Spanish silvers as I have SLQs. Might have something to do with the types of sites I hunt ;)

I found my first (and only) Barber quarter last year. It was my best find of the weekend. Still haven't found any other Barbers though.
