Should I be offended by today's find

I took my new Sovereign GT out today with a buddy who wants to get into the hobby.
I let him use my sons Tesoro Compadree. The day went pretty well as I found clad,
fishing lures, and a couple of hat pins.
The best find, IMHO, was a very nice 1918 Merc; you guessed, he found it.

Anyway, it was really a long day as we hit a few sites that I knew. Towards the end I was feeling a little tired and filthy from all the swingnandadiggin when I came across this hat pin about .5" long.
That ended my day and I did take a shower.

That's a superb pin! What a way to cap off a hunt. I think I'd wear that pin on all future hunts, just for the heck of it.

Great find but it makes you wonder who would wear a pin like that. But it doesn't surprise me that they would..um...lose...it. "Oh sorry honey, I must have lost that pin you gave me to remind me to remind me to bathe after I have been working 14 hours straight, all day, just to earn enough money to take you out to dinner." "I pitty the poor fool that finds this pin. His wife will want him to wear it."
