I thought the earlier discussion was interesting. I've been lucky and found several clovis points,

An amazing group of artifacts Joshua. One rarely gets to see this much Clovis material which includes
different stages of manufacture and associated diagnostic Clovis artifacts. Thanks for showing these.

Am I missing something, I see this post has been up for more than a week with no replies? -11KBP

I think it has been around for yrs.

11bp I think its a way old post like Rock said.. Amazing post though

Here's the only one I've found. Stumbled on this last June. 2 5/8" long.

I do not care that this was posted in 2009. That is a beautiful thing!! I can't get over that banding. Why do paleo points have such a different patina than other points? Anyone else noticed that? Bound to notice!

Well, old though it be, might as well put my 2 best here for the nice record the thread represents. The 2nd and 4th photo are of my avatar relic, from Clermont Co, Ohio, and the other one is "sugar quartz" quartzite from Kentucky.

I had quoted joshuaream’s posts #57-58-59-60 which were dated Mar 23, 2013, not years ago.
My post was a week later.

The reference was to Joshua’s outstanding Clovis assemblage, not the entire thread …sorry for the confusion.

I believe I missed this thread!! Great artifacts and info folks!

Saved and stained by water

Been through a forest fire or BBQ.

This one is not mine. It was found along the shores of Tampa Bay on a known Paleo site by an ex friend who sold this point. I do not know who it belongs to now. Sorry for posting your point, LOL Baybottom Chert

Two I found the same year around 1984.

Very nice I'm jealous but happy you have them !!!

Thanks brutha!! I found this piece at the start of summer. It's weathered bad but, the flaking style looks paleo to me. Any ideas are welcome.

Looks like the large sporadic flaking of paleo to me. ??

I thought possibly Hardaway/ Dalton related also. It is fluted on both sides. It is hard to see in the photo, but it has some nice little fossil inclusions in the material.
