Well my boxes sure have gone from hot to cold lately but I lucked out with some loose mwrs from one of my p/u banks this week so I wound up with 12 silver keepers for the week. So Im now at 302 silver keepers for the year. I was hoping to find an average of at least one silver keeper per day this year but hopefully I'll find my 365th keeper sometime this summer. Maybe if my good luck continues I may have close to a two silver keeper per day average by the end of the year. :) 6/3: $3.50 loose halves: clad $500 (Dunbar square) half box #61: skunk (clad '01S) $500 (Dunbar flat) half box #62: '64 $2 bill: a very worn red seal '63 6/5: $100 mwr halves: 7 x 40% (2 x '67 including a rev ender, 4 x '68D & a '69D ender) $500 half box #63: skunk (clad '92S) $500 half box #64: skunk $500 half box #65: skunk 6/6: $10 loose halves: skunk $50 mwr nickels: skunk (just a '41) - 16 solid 2014 rolls $80 mwr halves: 4 x 40% ('65, '66, '67 & '68D) $500 half box #66: skunk (just a magicians coin that won't open) free: '39 wheat cent in coin counter reject tray The 11 x 40% I got from the mwrs on Thursday and Friday were from the same teller at the same bank. Hope I have better luck with my boxes next week.

Those are some decent finds (at least compared to March or April). I like your new goal of 730 keepers by the end of the year. That would be awesome.

Lol, thanks. Id sure be very happy if I could find 700 or more silver halves by the end of the year (esp with my volume) but I know its so hard to predict numbers with this hobby, esp with halves. But unless I have a lot of long skunk streaks the rest of the year that might not be an unreasonable goal. Only time will tell. Good luck to u as well.

Lol, thanks. I wish I could increase my volume more too. But I have been increasing my volume compared to what I was doing at the beginning of the year. In January I only searched 5 half boxes total - now Im doing 5-6 boxes a week which still isn't much but its an increase at least. By the end of this month I will have searched 80+ half boxes ytd and by the end of the year Im hoping to search 200+ half boxes for the year.

Im sure my box average will be going down in the second half of the year but I hope I don't start getting some long skunk streaks and can keep a fairly decent box average by the end of the year. Good luck to u too.

Well, I sure had a great finish to the week on Friday. Not only did I get three good box but I also found a 90%er from some loose halves at two different banks as well. The best box was box #71 that was loaded with nasty coins covered with greenish mildew - but fortunately it produced 21 silver keepers too. I found a total of 38 silver keepers for the week and I now have a total of 340 silver keepers for the first 5 1/2 months of 2014. If my good luck continues the rest of this month I may have a total of 365 or more silver keepers by June 30th which would be a 2 silver keeper per day average for the first half of the year. :)

Thanks Buff. But I kinda felt like I was in the silver & green with box 71 lol. Check out these nasty clad coins. I got a bunch more of these nasty green coins than what u see in the pics and Im gonna try and spend the nastiest ones because Im not sure if they'll jam up the coin counter.

Well earlier today I dumped most of the halves from my boxes on Friday. But I still have a few rolls of the worst of those green mildew coins from box 71 to dump or spend. I also have more than a roll of damaged halves from box 72 (pic 1) to spend. But both those boxes produced some good silver too so Im not complaining. And I hope to have two more boxes to p/u tomorrow from the bank I got the 7 keeper box (box 70) on Friday. Sure hope I can keep this silver streak going a little while longer at least. :)

So far this week is starting off pretty good. I found some silver in each of my two boxes on Tuesday including another 90% Kender and a bright white '62D Ben (2nd pic). Ive now got a 5 box silver streak going - hope I can keep it going a little while longer at least.

6/16:
.50 loose half: clad
$3 Ikes: clad

6/17:
.50 loose half: clad
$500 half box #73: '64 Ken in 46th roll
$500 half box #74: '62D Ben, '64 Kender, 2 x '68D, '69D, clad '76S

Well, two of my boxes didn't get delivered at one of my p/u banks on Thursday but I think that's the first time all year that I've had trouble with my box order from that bank so I cant complain. But I did finish the week with a good box from another p/u bank on Friday. Friday's box had a total of 8 silver keepers including a '68D ender in the very first roll and 2 x '64's (one is in the roll in pic 2) as well as what I believe is another '82P no FG.

6/19:
$15 customer halves: skunk

6/20:
$500 half box #75: 2 x '64 Ken's, 6 x 40% ('65, '66, 2 x '67, 2 x '68D including an ender), '82P no FG

So I now have a 6 box silver streak going and even better I've found one or more '64 Ken's in each of the last 6 boxes too. And I've now found a total of 354 silver keepers so far in 2014. Im still hoping to find at least 365 silver keepers (a 2 per day average) by the end of this month.

Thanks Buff. At first I thought it might be a loaded box because I found three 40% keepers in just the first 5 rolls including that ender in the very first roll. But then I didn't find any more keepers till about the 29th roll which had two 40% and then more skunk rolls till around the 8th, 7th, and 6th rolls from the end which had a "64, '64 and a '67 in three consecutive rolls.

And the box was a square Dunbar box with thicker faded brown paper wrappers. And I didn't even notice at first why it was that most all the rolls had some extra space on one end (like the ender roll) so it looked like most of the rolls were short. The wrappers were actually small dollar coin wrappers that they used for some reason. But I counted several of the rolls and they all had 20 coins so I suppose since they used the wrong wrappers that's why they weren't rolled very tightly. Too bad they didn't put 25 coins in each roll then it really would have been a loaded box lol.

Hope I can keep the silver streak going next week but Im sure I'll be getting some skunk boxes again sooner than later. Good luck to you too.

Thanks for letting me know, that's pretty neat that you got half dollar rolls wrapped in dollar rolls, I've heard of that happening but never seen it happen. I guess they ran out of half dollar wrappers??
I hope your streak continues!

Thanks guys. Well, I found a little silver so far this week and barely managed to keep my silver streak going, which is at 8 boxes now.

6/24:
$500 half box #76: 3 x 40% (2 x '67, '68D)
$500 half box #77: '66 (silver edge coin in roll in 2nd pic)

I should have a few more boxes to p/u later this week and Im hoping I can keep the silver streak going at least a little while longer.

Well I had a good finish for the week. On Thursday morning I found a '69S half in a loose mwr and a '43D WL ender in a box from the same p/u bank. Then later that day my 9 box silver streak ended with 2 skunk boxes from another bank. But then on the way home from work on Friday I got another good box and more good loose mwr's from the same bank I scored at on Thursday morning. So I found a total of 17 silver keepers for the week. And I've now found a total of 371 total keepers so far in 2014.

6/26:
$12 loose halves: skunk
$10 mwr halves: '69S
$500 half box #78: '43D WL ender, '68D
$500 half box #79: skunk
$500 half box #80: skunk ('87P rev ender first roll, '87D)

6/27:
$1 loose halves: clad
$250 mwr halves: '64, 5 x 40% (2 x '67, 2 x '68D, '69D)
$500 half box #81: 4 x 40% ('67 rev ender, 3 x '68D), clad '76S

Im hoping I can get some more loose mwr's on Monday from that same p/u bank I got the good boxes and rolls from late last week.

Thanks. Seems like we both finished the week and month good. Im glad I reached my 2 silver keeper per day average for the first half of the year, and Im hoping I can keep that average (or better) till the end of the year. The boxes at one of my p/u banks seemed to have dried up lately but I've got two other p/u banks that have still been producing good lately.

I had to pay off two credit cards last week so my available cash was less than usual last week and I hated to do it but I had to leave some mwrs at one of my p/u banks Friday. But Im hoping to get the rest of those rolls on Monday and finish the month off with a little more silver. Im going to be increasing my CRHing funds next week so I hopefully wont have to leave any halves at a bank again and I'll be able to "buy them all". I hate leaving a bank without being able to buy all the halves they have - esp when Im pretty sure Im leaving behind some silver.

Sure hope the second half of the year is as good as the first half was.

H$H!
