Silver @ face and other keepers log

Well, I had my best day of the year today (Thursday). I got two great boxes from two different p/u banks. Box #46 had 36 silver keepers and was my second best box ever. My best box was a 38 keeper box (27 x 90% and 11 x 40%) I got in January of 2012. Boxes like these sure are fun to search. :)

5/15:
First p/u bank:
$500 (String) half box #45: 20 x 40% (third pic) including a '66 rev ender (first pic) and '68D ender

Second p/u bank:
$500 (String) half box #46: 1 x 90% ('54 Ben) & 35 x 40% (sixth pic) including a '67 ender in the very first roll
$500 (String) half box #47: '71S, '79S rev ender, '82P no FG rev ender

Dump bank:
$6 Ikes: all clad with one clipped or PMD '72

And if my figures are correct, I've found 141 silver keepers from my 47 half boxes this year which gives me an exact 3 silver keeper per box average so far this year. :)

H$H!

Thanks, today sure was a nice surprise. And its interesting too the two boxes I got from my second p/u bank were both flat String boxes with the same code and were so completely different. And box #45 from my first p/u bank was a flat String box with no code and seemed kinda similar to box #46 (maybe same carrier Idk). Just never know what you'll find with this hobby lol.

And with today's nice haul I have a little more than a one silver keeper per day average this year again. :)

U mean the coin from the 20 keeper box in the third pic? I think its this '69D.....it is very shinny - I wonder if it might be from a mint set. There were a lot of bright white '67's too in box #46, like that ender coin.

Yeah...it just seemed so bright compared to the other 19. Cool stuff.

Awesome boxes. Happy to see these results from you. My finds have been very low but never know what the next box will bring.

Great day! Congrats!

Thanks guys, yesterday sure was fun. And I got 3 more boxes today from the same bank I got the 36 keeper box yesterday so Im sure hoping I may have tapped a silver vein and I have another good day of hunting. But I know I could just as likely strike out with three skunks. I'll post the results probably some time tomorrow.

H$H!

Glad to see you've been having some good results! Keep it up! Your 3 keeper/box average is great!

Well, as I've already posted on the main forum, my 50th half box of the year sure gave me a great finish to what was already my best week of the year. Altogether last week I found a total of 3 Ben's, 138 x 40%ers and an '82P no FG from 7 half dollar boxes. And if my figures are correct I now have a 4.44 silver keeper per half dollar box average from my 50 half dollar boxes so far this year thanks largely to my 50th box that had 80 silver keepers. :coins:

5/16:
.50 loose half: clad
$500 (String) half box #48: skunk
$500 (String) half box #49: '67
$500 (String) half box #50: 80 x 40% with 12 ender rolls - 2 of which were my first ever double ender rolls, '77S

Seems I've tapped into a silver vein at one of my p/u banks and I'm hoping there's more great boxes still to come. :)

H$H!

that is a great box!! do you keep a eye on the inspection code on the bottom? do you notice if you get skunks and then really good boxes from same codes?

Thanks. Yeah the boxes from my primary p/u bank have had mostly the same codes on them lately and they were mostly skunks for weeks. Then two days in a row I get a 36 keeper box and that 80 keeper box with the same code from that bank. I was starting to dread seeing those coded boxes now I cant wait to get more of them lol. Just never know what you might find with this hobby. :dontknow:

cool cool, i keep wanting to stop when i get them streaks, but the best box i got ( like 28 keepers) had the same code that other skunk boxes had, so i dont think you can dismiss i group of boxes based on how many skunks, no matter the codes..

No boxes today but I still managed to find a little more for the pile. I hope to have a half box to p/u from a new p/u bank tomorrow and 2 or 3 more boxes from one or two other banks later in the week.

Well, it sure has been a great month for me. I got my 51st half box of the year from a new p/u bank today and saw a '65 ender in the very first roll so I was hoping for another great box and that's sure what I got. The box produced a total of 21 silver keepers: 12 x 90% & 9 x 40%. Even better it produced my very first Bender and my very first Wender. And I hit the trifecta with the Wender roll because that roll also had a '54D Ben and a '64 Ken in the same roll. The best roll had 2 Ben's, a '64D Ken and a '68D Ken. I already upped my order from this bank to 2 boxes next week so Im hoping there's more great boxes still to come. :coins:

5/20:
$500 (String) half box #51:
12 x 90% ('42 WL ender, 6 Ben's: '51S, 2 x '54D, '58D, '62D & '63D ender, 5 Ken's: 2 x '64 & 3 x '64D)
...........................................9 x 40% ('65 ender, 2 x '67, 4 x '68D & 2 x '69D)
........................................'82S

Now I have 3 great p/u banks that are producing silver for me, sure hope the
$ilver keeps flowing - I'll just enjoy it as long as it lasts. :)

Wow! You are on fire!

Did you set up accounts at all 3 pick-up banks? Or are you ordering boxes just your good looks? :blackbeard:

Oh -- and you're hitting silver fantastically! Keep rolling!

Thanks guys. Yeah I have accounts at all my p/u and dump banks. I also have a 4th bank that I sometimes order from and I should have a box to p/u from there Friday on my way home from work. I haven't had much luck with boxes from that bank so far but u never know with this hobby. :)
