I’ve not been able to get out in a couple of weeks. The weather was supposed to be rainy today, but instead it was just overcast, and it was 70 degrees, so I just had to slip out.

I was digging the usual, can slaw and pull tabs, I got one of those mid tones that just says tinfoil, you know, hot dog wrapper, however I was surprised to see a little silver tag in the hole. It was smooth and tarnished, so I knew it had to be good.

Sure enough, it has “Ann” engraved on it.

This was not a good signal at all, however, I was digging all the signals, so it didn’t really matter. As soon as it came out, I took this pic.

Then I knocked the dirt out of the back, and you could see the smoothness and grey tarnish. Bingo.

A quick wipe revealed a silver horsey pin.

One bad signal can make the hunt a success.

I got a few coins, but not what I was looking for, here is a pic of the kind of stuff I find, lead phone pole tag, broken base from a toy soldier, CB radio tag and a Joe Friday toy badge.

Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts.

Hey Tom, you found my ID bracelet, I must have dropped it when I was a Kid years ago. I'll be in Monroe next week, I'll stop by and get it....LOL
Nice Sterling horse, good hunting!

Nice Silver horse pin.

There are no "bad" signals. LOL

Just bad targets. ;)

Good job!

Some GREAT keepers there, Tom, I especially like your Equine Adornment. I bet that would polish up really nice. That yard should keep producing for you. Sub 8-)

Cool pieces Tom. Love that horse. And it’s silver to boot. I need to dig more tones. I just hate the disappointments. But I Guess one sweet find covers a lot of them. Huh? Congrats.

I dug two gold rings a few weeks ago, so I have been all about digging as many targets as possible. The more holes you dig, the more likely you are to find something unexpected!

Take 601 North, left of Highway 218... I am 14 miles up on the right. Call before you get there, as I am always armed and don't like surprises!
