Hello and happy 4th of July to all. I've been on this forum since I think febuary this year. I'm pretty small volume compared to some T net members but I had a pretty good day yesterday and wanted to share. Never posted a pic before but I'll try. Recently I've been doing 5 boxes of dimes, 2 nickels and one penny box per week. None of my pick up banks can order me halves so I get whatever loose or rolled halves I can. At my first stop I asked for halves and got one roll and a few loose. I was dealing with a new teller, when the head teller calls over that he had something for me. What do you have, I ask him. $327 is his response. I finish my transaction with the new teller and go over to his window. He's got three trays of loose Ike's. I haven't been asking for those cause I've never found anything but he wants to get rid of them so I take them. Glad I did. Dumped them in my bag and on to the next bank. When I got home, I first checked the halves and found one 1967 in the roll. Very shiny, looks like a proof coin. I'm happy. Then start scooping the Ike's out of the bag and huge surprise, find a silver 1967 Canadian dollar. Always wanted one. Now really happy. Then as I'm edge checking the Ike's I spot a silver rim. It's a 1971 s. From now on I'm back to asking for the big dollar coins. Also had my best one day total on silver dimes. Ten Rosie's. The two nickel boxes yielded 1 war nick and 3 no date buffs. I love this hobby.
