SILVER MATCH SAFE....back from the jeweller and loving it !!!!! B+A pics

[AQUA]

HI GUYS

Finally got my MATCH SAFE back.

Spent more than I wanted to ...prolly almost double what it is actually worth...but don,t care !!!!

These kinda finds do not come along everyday and will be safe in my case for a long time.

It is not a perfect job but they did the best they could without destroying it . The cover was in 3 pieces by the time I got it to them and am impressed that they actually got it back together and is in working condition.

The shine on the silver is very nice also.

So happy to have the matches ...nice added bonus. So I,m a happy detectorist !!

ty.. and yes I know what you mean...lotsa fields I go by I wonder what is hidden in that one....just never know.

thrill of the hunt and the excitement of what you see when you tuen over the dirt...never gets old... but I only been doing it for 14 months...can,t see it waning....but not always about the finds...just great to get outside ..fresh air and exercise.

TY Coilygirl.....definitely has a shine to it....better than abandoning it in pieces for sure.

Good on you! Taking the time and/or resources to restore something is a credit to the hobby--and to the display case! Well done!

Considering that I will have it for the rest of my life most likely...is well worth getting it done.
