Silver persian coin?

Found this about 10 years ago on the site of a 4000 year old fort. Found lots of copper coins but this was only silver found. It's been soaking in olive oil for ten years to get debris off and still has some still afixed. It was found in the country of Bahrain . No one has been able to identify it. Anyone wanna try?

Your coin looks from India's Mughal or Islamic kingdoms. There are lots of variations. Good luck!

The "debris" on most silver coins this old is called "horn" crust. You don't need to wait 10 years. Put the coin in some olive oil add a little lemon juice and keep at the temperature a coffee maker keeps coffee. Change the liquid when it gets black and cruddy. It will clean up in a couple of months.

We use an old Mr. Coffee machine. Just sit the stainless steel bowl on the warming plate.
