silver plated disc on copper- cleaned!

Found this today. The guy walking beside the horse has a revolutionary war type hat, there's a deer slung over the horses back. Anyone able to identify/date this item?

Thanks collector 1!! After looking at a couple hundred of em' on line, I have to say you are dead on. The image seals the deal.

Aluminum Jelly will remove the crud from that silver. Don't get it on the brass parts though.

Leave it on a minute or two, and swirl it gently with a soft brush. Rinse and repeat until the crud is gone. Touch up spots as needed with another round. When done, wash the piece with soapy water.


Works on gold and silver gilded items. Leaves the gilding, removes the crud.


And it runs about 3 bucks at the hardware store. The brand I use is "Duro."

this horn is about the same size as the one posted. the nipple was where the manufacture mark would be found.

I have dug that exact same flask...well...half of one. "Dead game" motif.
