Earthworks and I were out the other day at the old colonial homestead. I found a 1957 Washington quarter (silver/nice), a few wheaties, an old horse buckle and this really nice silver thimble with a cool scene of a farm or homestead all the way around the bottom. This is the second thimble like this I've found at a colonial home. (Nice job by earthworks cleaning and photographing ,thanks.)

I always like thimbles because they are personal objects. You know it was owned by an individual and used or displayed in their home.

That is one of the nicest thimbles I've seen on T-Net. Congrats.

Oh Bergie! It's beautiful! The thimbles I find are never silver and always smashed!

The thimble is very cool! Just a question...What were they used for?

That is the coolest thimble I have ever seen! Does it date to the colonial period or is it Victorian? Awesome find in my book. WTG, Bergie!
