I went to an old farmyard last night, a place I’ve been many times. Amongst a plethora of modern detritus I dug this Vicky quarter. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1589118097.477757.webp

I could not believe it! Last time I dug a Vicky quarter was a spill of two of them in 2015. This is only my 3rd Victoria silver quarter in 11 years.

It was covered in the usual black gunk, and I noticed the silver itself was actually quite pitted. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1589118486.148331.webp ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1589118514.815625.webp

I decided that since it’s never leaving my clutches, I would do electrolysis to make it look nicer. Then I finished with a little baking soda. I forgot to take a pic of the clean coin, but it was suuuper clean and shiny. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1589118651.458284.webp

I then re-toned the coin with the boiled egg trick. I will leave the coin out in the open for a while to get even more tone. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1589118772.613483.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1589118796.495919.webp
