I recently bought this coin of a guy on eBay who claims to have found it metal detecting, i was wondering if anyone might have any clues as to its age or origin. any help would be much appreciated!

Looks Celtic to me. How much did you pay for it? What was the coin listed as??? Welcome to the forum btw. The guys here have a lot of experience ID'ing coins so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. You don't have your country listed (orgin), so it's hard to point you in the right direction. if your in the U.S. I'd say try a coin dealer in the area. If your overseas, the laws are really different, so I can't help you there.
