Seems to be of either copper or brass. Found metal detecting around a house built in the 20's. It has been abandoned since the 80's and is in the middle of the woods. Property goes back to the mid 1800's, but original house was torn down and the current house was built. Found in Venango County, in northwest Pennsylvania.

I remember seeing that in my 1909 Sears Roebuck catalog. There are several squares attached together.

No its too short for a belt if my memory is correct. Its in the jewelry section of this book but i dont have the book with me

Did you read all the posts lol? Its been solved as a part from a gentleman's fob from the 1909 Sears Roebuck catalog

sorry i should have posted the pic from the magazine earlier. Its easy to miss stuff on a celphone. It could be a belt or necklace but I havent seen any this exact style. Those old catalogs are great for making IDs here.

The fob was originally silver plated on German silver. The belt looks bronze
