Hello all, here's a photo of some old coins I've found. All were cleaned with WD40. Unfortunately the 1818 King George shilling wouldn't clean any better than it did. It's pretty worn, but the head and date are just readable.

Angela impressive collection! WTG! LC's just don't come out of the ground in the "States" looking that good. You have some real nice finds there. HH! :)

Nice finds! 8)

Larger sized coins are always such a thrill to find.

Angela, can you detect gold with your detector? Some nice nuggets found in your area. Hope to see more of your finds.
Good luck and detecting

Hello all, I suppose I could find nuggets 49er, haven't gone looking for them. But if the detector picks up gold rings, then why not nuggets?! It is a relic/coin machine, so won't go as deep as your later gold detectors of course. I have heard of nuggets found with an Explorer 2. And yes, quite a few gold nuggets have been found my way. I know of a couple of productive spots not far from here. :)

WTG Angela.....some really nice coins ! Thanks for sharing them with us.................. 8)
