Possible servant or worker tag? Found at a huge well known 1759 plantation got some cw bullets and flat buttons too

If it is a dog tag it isn't listed in the Second Edition of U.S. DOG LICENSE TAGS but you can send a photo to tagman51@att.net for information.
 
Oddcoins will know Ill bet if ,its not or a RR tag. my money says is dog tag really old old not even in the books tag

Congrats on a very early and rare dog tag. But I don't think it's made of tombac. Looks like brass to me.
 
For some reason, I am doubting dog tag. However, I have been wrong in my life so many times, I cannot remember. If it is a dog tag, I am excited because it will open a whole new chapter of history. This I shall follow.
