But I have to say I am extremely impressed - amazed, really - at the knowledge some of you guys have about the stuff posted on this site. Whether the subject is German military helmets, vintage auto clubs, silver maker's marks, arrowheads and the cultures that produced them - wow. A wealth of knowledge and expertise. I am envious, and in awe.

Started with a Garrett. I think I've probably tried everything make and model from 1977, all the way to the up to the E-trac and GPX 4800.
Nothing new as for me now, I am pretty much handicapped.

I have to agree with your statement. As an occasional solver myself, I really like to see that green "solved" check mark go up when I nail something. I would enjoy seeing it as well when others solve an item.

There's a simple method

Is it rock? Yes - Jesuit Treasure Map, No - Is it gold? Yes - Cool!, No - Civil War.
