I found this location on an 1853 map it showed a house in this field and all other maps after that show nothing. I started on the high point of the field near the road as there were many pieces of pottery and brick and it wasn't long before I started finding some good targets.

Nice variety of buttons! Get some coins! They are there.

real nice...wow i've spent years and have only found 3 like that...good job... HH..
OWG. CIVIL WAR..era...my guess...

Very good work with the map that's how you do it. Good stuff.

i worked a site this summer that a farmer told me about. he said it was a pasture until about ten years ago. they decided to plow it and noticed pieces of silverware. i found at least ten buttons and two large cents. they plowed it again this fall and i found three more buttons. i will be working it again next spring. h.h.

Now that is the fun stuff. Great finds. ....Does the one button ( pic 3 ) have a cannon and carriage on it?

The Artillery button is definately pre-civil war.

Wow! Good job hunting that place down! Nice finds.

I like your 1812 button, and definitely a great site. The coins are there. Keep looking.

Nice pile of buttons. :hello2: Congrats and grid that place a few more times.

I have never dug so many buttons without getting one coin but I'm sure they are there.
