Spanish & KGC in the ozark mountains.

This area wasn't settled till the early 1900s. Indians occupied most of this area before then. Even during the civil war there wasn't many people in here. It was to far out away from every thing.

There is a pretty big holly tree not a bush out in the woods. It's in a rough steep holler. Is there any opinions on how it got there.

Don't think holly are native to this country I know they ain't to north Arkansas.

I was a hardwood lumber grader for several years, and I never saw any holly wood.
I would agree that they aren't commonly found in the ozarks.

I get back in there I'll get picture at different angle. Of the turtle looking rock

i see the turtle too. i would try to get there around noon on a sunny day and look for any other signs that would authenticate it as man made.

View attachment 1259935 seen this it was interesting. What do y'all see.

Here's something similar.

You can't see this side from the main trail. There's a slash carved pointing to the area where the eye would be, maybe some type of confirmation that they didn't want seen from the main trail. I don't know if the rock was shaped or is natural. This points out a hidden trail that is an easy climb up a steep bluff. The trail goes up to a cache layout few hundred feet away, empty hole, of course. Check out your rock to see if there is some type of confirmation carving on it. Go the direction it points and look for other stuff. Probably a natural formation that might or might not have been used.

There's a stack of stones that is defiantly man made fifty yards or so before you get to it.

Triangle search is about to commence...

I found an out of place rock on the side of the hill. The turtle was pointing pretty much that way. There was a pointy rock that was broke to look that way sitting on another rock to. The out of place rock had lots of fossilized shells in it.

Next time get a chance I'll go back up there and get pictures of all of the stuff I found in that one holler and post them so y'all can check them out.

I'll also go and get a picture of a catch site I found that was covered up. I'll try to show how they hid it and the clues that led to it. The goodies where all gone already but it shows there is some thing and that there is a system.

Found a carved snake in a small rock. The head was broke off. Which I took to mean that what ever it was pointing to is not there any more.

Yep. Not sure why folks do that, but had one man cut down a still healthy tree here because he found out it was related to Native Americans.

You must remember, most of the bent trees have nothing to do with treasure other than being a treasure in themselves.

Orangeman,
Have you been able to a picture of the cache site? I, for one would really like to see the clues
and how they hid it. O r any information you feel comfortable sharing.
Thanks,

Building a house. I'm just waiting to get a chance to go up the mountain to get the pictures. I can actually see it from our new house but it's like 3/8 of a mile away.

I have to go to a guys house and get a picture of the snake. Some one picked it up thinking it was a neat rock to collect.
