I spent the day with my buddy Repo Archeologist. At our first permission we both pulled Silver. Repo got a 42 Washington and I got a Sterling Ring. We decided to try a little door knocking and in the process discovered a hidden Winter Hunting Camp. We tried to get permission but the camp is deserted right now. Then came the reports about a brush fire and a request for help to fill up a fire fighting airplane. So it was off to the airport. Repo Archeologist is a fire chief at a local Volunteer Fire Department. After filling the 3rd tanker, we were dismissed. Tried hunting an old ballfield before admitting that we were both tired.
Full fun day filled with finding silver, Discovering new places to hunt, fighting fires, and eating cupcakes.

pretty awesome, a day spent doing a lot of worthwhile things and with a friend. my fire fighting days are long over but always ready to do what I can. the ring looks like it has been in the ground for a while, at least the stone does. great day, period!
