Started a New Job Today. It Ended Badly... More Time for Treasure Hunting :)

There is a reason why some companies always seems to have job openings.

Of course you are right about some companies, but I have worked for a couple EXCELLENT companies which always seemed to have a job opening or two. A lot is because it's getting harder to find reliable people who want to work and help the company prosper as well as themselves, rather than sit on their behind and collect a check. It's remarkable how many people are fired because they simply do not feel the need to show up for work, no call, no nothing. :dontknow:

There is no such thing as politics, it's all a facade. There are no democrats or republicans, only haves and have nots. A big 2 sided show to keep everyone divided on hedge issues.

I am glad you delete any political talk because it's really moot at this juncture in time.

I don't see it that way. The fact that you and I have computers would put both of us in the "haves" category. I don't think I deserve to be included in a class war or class envy.

After I retired from GM @ age 49 I just sat around the house for a couple years ADJUSTING. One day I see a company who sorts good/bad parts out for my old assembly plant needed help. I apply and get hired. Only paid $15.00 p/h but I wanted to visit old friends in the plant and keep up on a patent of mine that assembly engineers were using. After a week of working for this other company I came up with a better system of controlling the good/bad parts and they started to use it. I set it all up and gave my supervisors the password for access. Then a new supervisor arrived about a month later. And he came with an attitude!!!!! Got pissed at me about something and stated "How'd you like to not have a job"? I told him "I make more than you sitting on my ass at home. I'm here just to play for awhile". After 15 minutes of listening to him preach I told him where to go and promptly deleted my program from the computer in front of him and said have fun... I quit. My phone went off for the next 3 days asking me to come back... I didn't. I too can have a way with words at times....

LL, I politely asked that you keep politics out of posts just like other members are required to do is all...

Your political comments were already deleted...

Posts like this start to make me agree with the Admin on the subject. They are reposted and rehashed and the same arguments are seen every couple of weeks. And then I am sure there is a new spate of complaining about the same things over and over.

It looks like there really may not be anything new under the sun.

Austexdude good luck with your water right in texas

is this being to political again

What if we discuss treasure linked a government controversy?

Politics DIRECTLY related to treasure hunting is allowed... Laws that affect our hobbies are allowed as per our rules.

Posts or threads that try to use it as excuse to get around politics and religion rules will not be allowed.

" You may not.... Start a thread to specifically promote or discuss politics or religion or respond in a political or religious fashion to a post if it's not somehow tied to treasure hunting."

Neil, that is my signature not a thread or post and is allowed, it has been addressed by admins in several posts but you may have missed it...

If signatures go too far over the line we address them with the member.

Because they decided they did not want the strife.

Great decision on their part.
Nobody comes to treasurenet to discuss or argue about politics.
The only thing that political discussion/political forums winds up achieving on non-political sites is to create bickering and resentment among members. Its incredibly sad that America has devolved into 'team sport politics' but it has. No place for it on a treasure hunting site.

Lol. You should have made sure to put your "IMHO" disclaimer at the end. We would think more of this post.

Who is this 'we' you're speaking on behalf of and more importantly, why do you think I'm obligated to care what they think?

I feel bad for you.And no Breaks. That is what Right to Work does for you.

I worked for 3+ decades for a union and hated what they did for me. My union held me back worse then anybody could of done. My union was another version of socialism... where everybody is treated the same. Not everybody is the same... everybody being an "individual" at times is not NOT under a union umbrella. God bless "Right TO Work" states.

I was in IBEW union for only 11 years, now I started drawing the union pension in Nov and I can't complain, it want take long for me to get back every dime I paid in union dues....

This is truly funny, you told us what you want us to think fast enough. On whose behalf did your fallacy encompass?
