Blessed with a perfect detecting day, me and Iron Patch hit a handful of fields loaded with potential.
Not a lot of finds, so I guess we left the potential to be discovered another day, a few coppers and a silvery flash on the 10c and ornate button, the clasp was just about the only other thing I found that wasn't so junky

glad to enjoy a day of detecting. not enough days left this year

gonna try to harpoon a whale of a find next time out!

I love the look of those Canadian cents. I've got a holes 1864 New Brunswick and think it's a gorgeous coin. They seem to come out in nice condition quite often as well. Knowing you guys you will harpoon those whales before too long. Didn't you just find a nice rare coin a few weeks ago? Lol

As far as coins go, mine wasn't a guppy like today, the tuna I landed a few weeks back wouldn't look too pale beside the "stealth whale" you hooked

I say stealth because it just snuck up on ya

If it wasn't for musket balls, some days we would have nothing to show....I got three today so I did ok
the copped, although few, were good, a surprise !

A not so random thought is that are better finds so far seem to be coming from our old fav. areas and sites. Might have to work a few more in before freeze up... mainly L13. We never really walked around those fields as well as we should have, and it's quite a bit of space.

The days have been exceptional for detecting; not too hot, not too cool , and best if all, no bugs!
I love it!

five was the theme of the day, we'll have a new day and a new theme next time

I agree, as long as the ground isn't froze, it's not too cold. I love no bugs, (incl. ticks) and no sweat.
Hope you get another chance, and I'm sure you will, as will I, but days are no doubt numbered for 2014.
