Stop Marking Coins!!!

This is a plea to everyone out there who feels the need to mark their searched coins. STOP!! There is nothing more annoying than finding a coin that you could really use for a folder only to find some j@ck@$$ has put a gigantic sharpie mark on it. To whomever ruined a perfectly good 1987-P Half Dollar that I needed to complete my folder, You Suck!! Seriously people, there is no reason to mark the coins you search. Let's finally put an end to this.

I wrote "I already got all the silver" on about 100 halves. I got one of them back last week and it was an ender! Lmao.

The key when hunters in your area mark coin is you can get context clues as to where they get their supply, you can also backtrack through the clearing facilities roughly what bank chain/branch they are coming into. It is a wealth of information. You get to get a good estimate as to how many hunters are in your area, if they are with your flow or reverse (loomis vs garda vs brinks), how heavy they are dumping and eventually if they are abusing the same dump banks you are.

I will never mark coin, simply because its information to the enemy. And I agree people that mark NIFCs or proofs are complete d-bags. But beyond that, in the .8 seconds it took you to worry about the marked coin, you could have already been reaching for the next one. Don't sweat the small stuff.

I used to write messages to a person from another forum on my coins and several weeks later another searcher posted about finding one. Made for a great laugh.
