Storms "Hunted Out Park" Trip 7/31....finally some silver!

Well....I went back to the spot where I pulled the 1901 Indian yesterday.  I went back over about 1/2 of the place really sllloooowwwww.  I was all over the place yesterday, but today I went back and forth in straight lines covering this area of the park.  I was swinging for about 4 hours today, but managed to get my 2nd Merc for the year.  1918-S, in around VF-20....But I rim nicked it    So now it is worth melt LOL.

Oh well, Silver is silver and I was happy to pull it from the ground....even if it took me 4 hours LOL

$1.66 in clad also.

I was using an aftermarket coil on the SE. Havent had any problem pinpointing with the SE before....I know I have heard the EX2 was harder to pinpoint. This was do to me not taking my time I'm guessing....Operator Error

Yes, They are not easy to come by here anymore. Im sure the parks were loaded with them at one time, but I was born too late to get my hands on the other ones LOL. Story of my life, 30 years to late LOL . I will find more, just most will come from Private Property.

Nice teen s mint mark merc! I find that every time I mutilate a coin its because I got in a hurry to dig it up, that usually cures me for at least 6 months.

Cool, I notice you are from Portland. I am about 25 minutes west of you in Scappoose. Any hunting recommendations for a newbie. I received my first MD from hubby for my b-day in July. I have been to one park and found a whoppin' 4 pennies and 2 quarters clad for the 2-1/2 hrs I was there. Loads and Loads of foil, nails, tabs etc. It is a newer park so I didn't expect much. Any ideas for me??
