Strange photo

I guess i will never be a good art interpreter. I don't see anything in the pic that has to do with Cupid. All i see is a woman with a cell phone at her ear unlocking the door.

A cell phone?

Yep, a cell phone. I can't tell you how many times i have seen that stance where a person has a phone wedged between their shoulder and ear and is attempting to open a door or multi task in general. LOL i guess that's the great thing about art. We get to interpret the art any way we want and whatever the artists intentions don't matter. Great art can withstand the test of time, or so i have heard.

Her Head is oddly Turned Like she is Holding a Phone.
perhaps the artist just screwed up on positioning her head
the wrong direction.

That is Definitely Cupid looking Out
& his Bow & Quiver on the Step.
perhaps her head would be that way if she were looking at him.

not sure if it represents her avoiding him or him avoiding her.

I'm starting to think the Artist had no real purpose in mind.

this is as close as ive come to finding anything that resembles it
cant be if the 1860s date is correct. does it say on the back of img
it is a Hatch Lithographic Company/ Hatch Litho Co. im starting to
have doubts, that is the Co. that made it. ive search that co with
various terms and ive used search terms and combos of ........
Psyche eros Venus and Amor, with and without the Co. name/s

John William Waterhouse
Psyche Opening the Door into Cupid's Garden
Date: 1904
