I will be out from 2am till daylight to work and I will keep my eye to the sky. May not even need my headlights.......:laughing7:

That was always fun - driving in the moonlight. Can't do that anymore though. I have a hard enough time seeing anymore while using headlights! :BangHead:

Jeff, your pic totally over-exposed. Any way to select shutter
speed on your camera? If so, you want about 1/500th of a sec.,
and in some cases I've taken sharp shots at 1/2000th of a second.

If a point-n-shoot, some have had decent results depressing the shutter
button half way so it auto-focus's (make sure the focus zone is on the brightest
part of the Moon), and then taking the shot. With a super bright Moon in all
that darkness the camera will always over expose if it see's any of that
blackness.

I saw it around 5:30 pm low on the horizon and it looked great, and hour or so later not so much so.

I do, do the the auto focus thing .

as far as shutter speed i don't know if it had it.
there is a quality setting

I set it to 2M-F what ever that is .
I think it's the best setting though because I only get 18 pics on the card.
on the other end if I set it to 0.3M I'd get 92

it's a cheap FinePix 2650 2.0 mega pixels and 3x zoom.

I mainly like it for the Macro

Just downloaded the manual for it, and well, I'm afraid you're kinda screwed..

You do have some options for white balance, and it's preset to ISO 100.
Other than that it's pretty much in auto mode.

I've got a Fuji FinePix A700, which is a 7MP version. This series
had great macro functions, and 7MP is plenty for computer viewing.
For any kind of macro shot I prefer it over my Nikon D90.

Dizzy... any points for my Gpro for best pics ?

My Sony I never adjust either.

Surprised... everyone talks about the moon... yet no one about the tides. :/ heh

No Tides here in North Eastern PA unless you go to the Laundry soap section of the store

This moon thing is giving me bad dreams again about the monkey people I had when I was very young. There Back :munky2:

no monkey people here.
just tall pale white aliens who kill my lights,
paralyze me and and stand and stare.
till I'm finally able to break free & yell
