Surf Finds....Baffled

[root]

Hello friends....

Over the course of this past summer, I found these while searching for sea glass. Not sure of the material, but they are flat and corrugated. Any ideas?

asbestosis type sliding shingles -- or floor tiles -- look at the other side and thickness to figger out which one it is.

Yep, broken worn down shell pieces.

These are perfectly flat. Haven't seen any shells that are flat. Most likely tiles w/ corrugation on one side. Baspinall.....You're near Springfield eh?

As the other posters said, they're definately fragments of asbestos siding. You find lots of them here in the N.J. surf from all the houses that went in the hurrincanes.

Asbestos siding tile... use to find them on the N.C. coast alot years ago snap one into and you can probably see some fibers.

Even though they are flat, I would have to agree. I find flat pieces here in Florida as well. But without seeing them, they could be tile pieces or pottery.
