For some reason i'm thinking sword hanger...thoughts?

I am not sure what the application would be in this case, but I am pretty sure those tubular things are "Wodaabe" hair beads.

They do look similar.

the crimp holes in the beads are prob for hanging
tassels or some other type rope for added decor

Pretty sure that they're not hair beads. They are fused together and fused to the chain. Plus there are the crimped holes which probably held strips of leather...as mentioned previously...
