THE CHISHOLM TRAIL HUNT

Who's bringing kids? and how old are they?

My son is 17 and wants to come, of course at that age, it may be subject to change without notice.

Been tryin to talk my a$$ into coming. If she comes, he may want to stay home...unsupervised. Scary thought.

Rob, i planned on bringing my son who is 12, but since I told him that he can only dig and not detect he is not so thrilled. But it is his choice, I am going to pull him out of school later in the month for deer hunting so I have a feeling that he will not make this trip....Steve

Jeff and I are planning on bringing the grandkids for part of the festivities, Jacob wants to meet the people who saw the picture he drew he is 8; Hunter he is 6 the one so many of you all prayed for, and little sister Kirstin she is 5, she likes to see who bends over first and run to try and dig for them.

"....she likes to see who bends over first..."

Ahhh yes....but who is going to help us UP after we've bent over? LOL ;D ;D ;D

Mel, I'm sure that if you drop that heavy treasure pouch; you'll pop right up. ;D (kind of like a diver and weight belt)

I sure do hope the gas prices keep going down...or at least stay where they are now. Here, they have dropped from $2.99 down to $2.45. Sure would make my trip to CTH a lot cheaper. But...I figure, it isn't about the money I spend on gas.....it's ALL about that gold that I'm going to snitch from Stoney and Burdie's treasure bags............he/he ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Mel, FYI the gas here has gone back up. It's now at $2.79, up 10 cents from about 3-4 days ago. BTW, gold-what gold? I's just a poor boy goin' around chippin' out a bit of clad and the occasional wheatie now and again. :)

No luck yet. Computers and video games seem to take priority.

Maybe you can install this on the laptop and bring him along. ;) Click on The Game Treasure Fields on the top left.

My youngest son and last child at home is 18 and just graduated high school. I tried to get him to come but ever since he got his drivers license and discovered girls he has lost interest in MDing. So with that being said I am recruiting a new relative to hunt with.

And here is my new recruit

I had added I thought that was one cute little detecorist you had there but for some reason it didn't go up on the post.

I second that Timberwolf that is a mighty fine recruit. Just the right size headphones to grow into TN. :D :D

My girls are coming . 12 and 10. They will dig or help anyone who needs getting up after the bending. They are also great babysitters and "gophers" and photographers.......they do accept tips ! :D :D :D

Hey Gypsy,

Are we going to get to see your camper?
After seeing your camping trip pics, we have been looking at campers/travel trailers.
MrsTW has been trying for 8 years to get me to take her camping.
She is starting to wear me down ;D

Timberwolf

Actually I just picked up my new slide in truck camper today. Well new to me anyway.....from the 80's..... Got a whopping deal and was a trick trying to drive it home today....first time in my life I was "top-heavy" ....Hahahahaha
But it went really well....didnt tip over when I turned a corner and brought it home in pelting rain. So ....I am ready for the Chisholm Trail Now!!!! Anyone who needs a little nappy during the hunt can just crawl right in....or have a cup of coffee....etc ...... :) :) :) Wont have time before the hunt , but the girls and I are going to decorate it inside and out like a Gypsy Vardo..... :)

Is there a place to park a backhoe and bobcat? :D M ::) nty

We plan on having a little something for the ACTS (Abandoned Children and Teens Society) as well.
That is, if they don't mind trying a little gold panning of some unsearched Colo. concentrates I brought back last month. I have about 5 gal. of it and an 18 gal washtub so as to not lose anything.

Hey Burdie

Sorry to be so dumb but what is this "Talking Tombstone" thing that is on the schedule? I guess I could try to google it and find out but I thought asking you would be better.

Okay so I need a little help and maybe a suggestion or two.

Baldingboy and I will be traveling to this event together. We are talking about taking an extra day and trying to find a few places between here and there for a few quick one hour hunts or maybe one two-three hour hunt.

Does anyone have any ideas about places we might be able to go and hunt on the way back from the CTH?? Starting Point Cape Girardeau MO Ending point Caldwell Kansas, I guess that is backwards because we will be coming back to Cape but any way you get the point. We are both really interested in trying to find a CW site maybe that we could find a bullet or two from.

Thanks
