Circle leads to Col John L Piper

Researching for a John L Piper as Jean Laf suggests, I found a Col John L Piper buried in Altoona PA and he was a Mason, "AHK Hebrew term
for brother". Fairview cemetery is within a half mile of the circle's radius.

Is this the correct John L Piper? I don't know, but I like how a Masonic Colonel appears along the circle's radius. I suspect the Colonel
will have some visitors stop by his gravesite to chat.

Col John L Piper is tied to Andrew Carnagie.

Well, I have his book, too... looked at it with a Magnifying Glass; NOT centered in Botetourt County... BUT! It appeared to be "centered" at the Peaks of Otter (Blue Ridge Parkway) (p. 127; Map # 7).

Anyone can draw a circle and center it anywhere they want to? What does it mean and what and where is the reason for the circle, triangle and tangents? Don't make sense to me?

His brother, Thomas Jordan Beale , born 1826 in Botetourt county, Virginia and died 1884 in Shasta county, California, has been discussed before on these forums, and has no bearing on Ward's 1885 Beale Papers published job pamphlet.

What is so interesting about the property you mention is that Newton Hazelwood bought the property and had to pay for it with gold coin according to the deed. Clayton Hart later bought this property from Newton Hazelwood's son, Frank.

You are correct Rebel . . . the center of the circle is NOT centered in Botetourt County. I never said it was . . .
The circle is centered on Virginia/West Virginia. The center of the circle lies within Botetourt County.
