This past Sunday I found the find of a lifetime, a 1652 Pine Tree Shilling at a site in Connecticut. I don't post much on here but thought I would share it with you. 18814336_10209321218691077_6990423850541621481_n.webp19105701_10209321219051086_7146193852843806294_n.webp

Awesome find:rocks: I think that if I ever found one,I'd be on the fence on what to do. I'd be scared to have it in my house for fear of losing it or getting stolen. Absolutey beautiful coin, now go find more:tchest:

Wow! All I can Say! Wow:headbang:

Thanks guys. It's already in my safe deposit box at the bank. It kinda sucks not getting to see it but I know it is safe.

Now that's a shame! Show that coin a good time on the town. Take some pics with a supermodel holding it, show it off at the bar, and sleep with it for at least a week. Lol.

Donnie, again, what a great find. I'm so happy to see a killer coin end up in good hands. Cheers

That's so cool, the most awesome thing I've ever seen!!! I'm in

that's just mind blowing! congrats

wow!! congrats Donnie!!!

I think this is called winning the game of metal detecting.

Jeez, what a fantastic find. Looks like it was dropped about 5 minutes after it was minted. Congrats on a coin in such extraordinary condition.

Congrats on the Banner find and Welcome to the Banner Club.

Congratulations Donnie! :occasion14:
If anything, this find should encourage you to go out and find another one... where there's one there's going to be more!

We definitely intend to hammer the site where I found the Shilling. As with most sites, it has already been hammered before we got there but you never know what was missed.

HOLY GRAIL!!! A DREAM FIND

Just curious Donnie....Did you find it with the AT Gold? And how deep was it?
Also, congrats on an outstanding find!!!!

Thank you! This is, without a doubt, the find of my lifetime (so far!)!

Thank you! I have two detectors currently. I own the Garrett AT Gold and a White's MXT Pro. I found this coin with the White's MXT Pro and I had it equipped with the Detech 5" x 10" coil. I love those Detech coils on the White's. It actually wasn't that deep and was a banging signal. It was probably less than four inches deep and sounded really good. I just got lucky.

Man I love this post. Right on Donnie!

Hey Donnie, I just checked Ebay and saw a 1652 Pine Tree shilling just like yous going for $83,500. There is another one going for $22,000. So don't say your find is not worth a retirement fund. Check it out:
1652 PINE TREE SHILLING NGC MS 65 | eBay

There are others going for $68,000 and $36,000. What you need to do to get those high prices is send your coin to PCGS or NGC and have it "slabbed." That means encapsulated and graded. This will guarantee the value of the coin.
