The finder becomes the loser!

So today I was detecting a ww1 training camp that’s been hunted before and the find of the day wasn’t even from the era.What were the odds I found a metal detector with my metal detector.
If anyone else has ever done something similar to this pls let me know.

I've lost a pinpointer before (well my friend lost it). That one looks suspiciously like the $20 nail finders you can get at harbor freight (they actually work great but aren't very rugged)

We were having a club outing in the woods one day, and I got a huge hit. Bent over, & moved the grass, only to find one of my fellow club members pin pointer. When we went back for a lunch break, I asked if anyone had lost it. He didn't even know it had dropped to the ground. It was his lucky day !
