Its been awhile since I've been out digging and the good weather window is closing fast. So yesterday I made it back to my river bank and the digging wasn't easy the ground is freezing quick but I was able to find a few keepers. It was a blob top kind of day. Does anyone know the age of the DR jgb siegert & hijos bottle. I think its a bitters and it's a three piece mold bottle. Thanks for looking and the help- Justin

Good finds. It's freezing here too. Gray and cloudy and icky.

Love the blobs, is that a Sweet Cider bottle?

Thanks epackage two of the bottles are local bottlers from my hometown of winsted. And the other blob is a heublein bros from Hartford I think that one is a beer.

Hey Justin

Nice group. Gettum while you can, you guys.

The "& hijos" part dates the Angostura Bitters to after 1875.

"By 1875 the family business moves to Trinidad, now being run by Carlos, Alfredo and Luis Siergert sons of Dr. Siergert - company called Dr. J.G.B. Siegert & Hijos. Bitters manufacturing commences in a small factory in Port of Spain, Trinidad." Dr. Siegert | Dr. J.G.B. Siegert & Hijos | Royal Warrant
