Good morning everyone

Yesterday hunt and I’m still on a silver streak with two quarters. After I dug the second quarter about 50 feet away I got another high tone, so I called my buddy over to dig this one and he got mercury dime his first silver for the day. Well, they’re not always where I hope them to be, but this area on Sunday that I hunted is a snow play area I Billygoat all over the slopes in search for silver and jewelry. I found five walkers, couple of Benji halves one standing liberty quarter and a few silver rings all in that area. The road to get there didn’t even open till 1956.

It was just 5c a few hrs ago 🥶
9.20 am and 15c now but still got the heater on.
We need rain, everyone else in other places are getting it or had some. Our water tanks down to about 1/5 and the reservoir is dropping like a rock level wise.

I had a job at an auto auction as well. 2 week there they offered me the OK Corral 👍

Yeah I drove a junkyard piece worst ever.
Im in the lot and it took running down the battery then a jumper to finally get it going. I was horrid. Looked kinda ok. I can't recall the make but was a 1960 to 1970s European sports car. Worst id been in. Finally make it to the auction floor and people were bidding bidding bidding, im trying to catch the closest one to me his eyes and give a sneaky "no no no". Nope, payed no attention. Hammer falls its his. The moment I let out the clutch and go to accelerate it crapped itself, smoke everywhere and had to be pushed out. I tried to warn them.
The Euro cars were useless here, they couldn't cope with our climate.

Edit... Remembered, It was a Lancia.

Good early morning, everyone. Blissfully quiet at the moment.

A friend of mines post from his engine building forum. Now he says these were fixed with better heads.... better cam etc. They do soup them up and all problems can be fixed. They came in a cars that are very collectable.

The engine better known as the Plastic Fantastic. Came as a 253ci [4.2] or 308ci 5 litre. Never a great engine as the heads don't produce that much power. Reasonably light and self lightening with cam lobes disappearing, breaking and gumming the pistons and rings, intakes and water pumps corroding and pushing coolant out the front and rear of the heads. Though good coolant resolved the corrosion,, but not the rest.

Followed in 87 with the destroked 304ci for GpA rules and with fuel injection. Fitted to the Batmobile VL Commys.

And then the 'VN engine' with a total revision of the intakes being IE IE IE IE instead of 2 exhaust and 2 intakes together. With better injection and generally a better thing. Though still no ball of fire, a bit more poke than the 302 Ford with efi. And that is another engine that is less than ideal for performance.

By 99 though that engine was dropped in favor of the 5.7 LS complete with undersized oil pickup that killed a lot of them. Because Holden took the worst part of a Falcon design and moved the oil pan well to the front. With [gen 3] the oil pump at the back of the engine. Every Holden dealer had a 5.7 corner
