If a person breaks into your house (in england)and hurts themselves they can sue the homeowner.But other than that the law was recently changed where if you attacked an intruder they could sue you.

Here's what Red is talking about. A farmer had a guy break into his house and threaten him. The law there said he had to prove it. He went up to his attic and dug up an old shotgun. The guy came back to threaten and rob him again. the farmer shot him . They tried the farmer for murder. You just can't defend yourself there.
