The "Sound" of the post!

I don't know if it's just me, but when I read a post my mind adds a sound to the words and a mental picture of the poster. It even adds an age. I know we are to treat each as equals but it is sometimes hard. When you answer someone's question and they ask the same question again I picture one of my kids asking again. When I ask a question and get a elaborate and accurate answer I picture one of my college professors. When I give an answer and I seance an immediate understanding on the other end I feel i am dealing with a technical equal. It 's not looking up or down on the other person. It's trying to use the proper presentation of information on a level the other person can understand.
What about you. Hay mack you know what I am saying?

Usually when I relate a sound to a post it's more of a loud clang, right before the lights go out.

Oh, I get ya... But that post wasn't really mine, my cat wrote that one.. I try and stick to the lighter side of life

I think it's "TV/Movie syndrome". We're so used to hearing a sound whenever there's an "action" or "reaction" that we automatically do it on here.
I also think it's impossible NOT to form a visual impression of anyone else online who doesn't use their real picture. 10 times out of 10 it's always wrong too!

I did use my picture, just added the wig and nose to protect my identity

I went through a period of life where I attempted to date online.............what I learned from that experience is that, "It's not a good practice to attempt to judge anyone until you meet them face to face and spend some real time around them!"

Haha Bigscoop, been there bought the t-shirt etc. Some of the most beautiful voices online can turn out to be the ugliest and scariest people ever!!!
