I've gotten carried away writing on halves, but never did art. Looks like someone with alot of time.

cool halves, ha. rather get those then the thick black sharpie line

Rumor has it, Picasso was an avid coin roll hunter...

Am I being naive, or is it against the law to deface US currency? Just asking....please don't flame, this is a legitimate question. Thanks.

It's debated as to whether this type of disgusting behavior is illegal, but is largely agreed that anybody that "marks" coins like this is a major _______.

No, unless you are trying to deceive someone.

Wow thats a lot of coin. Where do you deposit? I did my first $500 in halves ever. I got them from a Chase bank next to my house and returned them to another chase branch by work. It seems like a huge hassle though and the tellers were very happy to get 30 pounds of coins.

They put it in a clear bank bag and I guess someone sorts them later and credits my account.

I feel so bad, is it like this for everyone?

yes. :(

Do you roll your own or just bring them in the dump bags?

Rollin! Rollin' on a river!
Yah, I just roll em up, and bring them to the bank, and mark the rolls, so I don't get them back.

I don't search a lot. Just hopefully a box a day. No set schedule, just a 15 year old kid with some initiative. :P
Yeah, it takes time, but the closest Coin Star (free of charge) is a few towns over, would need ride, but parents work past closing. :(
