Hit a local school and after two hours of digging clad I decide to try my luck in some woods. About a mile in I got the 10 gauge shell. Couple feet further and the 1810 half cent popped out. 15 minutes latter I got the buckle thing and what ever that ornate piece is.

The coin is the oldest find, but doesn't help much because it probably was not dropped in 1810. All look post colonial to me.

Probably right about when the coin was dropped, as coinage could easily be in circulation for 50-75 yrs. It's a nice find though being a half penny.

I'm agreeing with Gary and Cru on this one, post colonial. BUT that doesn't mean there's still not colonial down there somewhere;)

Nice find with the Half Cent
