that tree had it in its mind to geld someone! i think it was on the ground and the tree grew up around it. cool find!

Most of those cermonial swords have the real distinguising marks on the blade, which appears to be gone. The handle/hilt lead one to believe it's a Knights Templar (Masonic not Medievial) or some of those others. Cool find.

wow! that is one of the coolest , most unusual finds i've seen! I would love to see a positive I.D. on that, just wonder what the story would be for it there in that position? :o

I couldn't stand it. That tree would have to be pulled over, dug up or something. I would also be researching the heck out of that property.

trust me i can't research the history of the property fast enough :BangHead:but the sword i should know more about it by Saturday i hope a friend of mine neighbor is suppose to a sword wizzard I'll keep everyone posted<OK>

I'm telling ya. All you have to do is post it on the sword forum. If you'd posted it there yesterday, you'd have an Exact ID of the item by now.
